A month ago, August Berg’s founder, Anders Peter, spoke to MoneyFM 89.3 about August Berg’s commitment to Social Consciousness which is at the forefront of August Berg’s brand pillars.

August Berg as a brand believes in living consciously and making the most of how we spend our time. The aim is to disrupt the watch and jewellery industry by shifting the focus from external values to internal values (what matters to the individual - how we bring awareness to our decisions by contributing beyond ourselves, and by bringing added value to the wearers.)

Together with Human Practice Foundation, every watch sold, gifts a child six months of quality education, and with 20,000 watches sold, August Berg will build a school. The partnership aims to be a catalyst for providing education and knowledge to underprivileged kids in Asia and Africa. 

Human Practice Foundation has already built over 60 schools across Nepal and Africa, helping over 27,000 children. The belief is that no single power in the world is stronger than the inner strength of children who are given the opportunity to learn. Human Practice Foundation rebuilds existing schools and train teachers in remote areas that are otherwise deprived of quality education and based on local insight and close contact with the communities. 

August Berg chose to partner with Human Practice Foundation because of their commitment to complete transparency. 100% of the proceeds from the sales of August Berg go directly towards benefitting the schools and students with $0 taken to spend on admin and running cost.
