#StayHome Hacks and Ideas

#WFH… It's now a term that we use every day. After staying home for weeks, we find ourselves missing the casual freedom we once had. From the daily routines, we took for granted - the simple coffee treats or lounging with your friends, weekend beach trips.

Without a doubt, Covid-19 changed our way of life. However stifling it may be to stay home, this might be one of the best time to live in the present with people that matter and reflect.

Rather than looking at the negative side, try to look for the silver lining in life - technology. From ZOOM calls to FaceTime, Instagram, there are a million and one ways to remain social and active.

Here are three things you can do to find that silver lining. With just creativity, you can ever connect with people that you love in your #stayhome time together!

  • Disconnect physically and reconnect virtually

Looking for a little something to do to still connect with your friends or family? Mobile devices and laptops online games are the new board games in town. Right now, online has a seemingly endless amount of platforms that have games that can accommodate interactive gameplay.

Some of our favourites are https://skribbl.io/ and http://codewordsgame.com/. Or you could even Zoom and host Themed Trivia Night!

  • Spice up your new-found routines with a little creativity

Is the Stay Home Notice putting a damper on your plans to celebrate a friend's birthday? You can still make it oh so fun using these hacks. Have you seen the video of people appearing as a potato head or everyone having the same virtual backdrop in an online call? Be it on Skype, Zoom; you can spice the atmosphere around with the different filters on Snap Camera or even create your virtual background via Canva! It's effortless! So it's a great way to host a virtual party, you could also have food delivered over to your friend's place to take it up a notch.

  • Go on a journey of discovery, do new things together.

Rather than just letting time run by, why not take the time to learn something new or hone your existing skills. Choose a YouTube workout, perhaps host a ZOOMba (pun intended), learn the art of mixology or learn how to bake!

You can even have a Dalgona making contest. It's easy to make, and it'll be fun watching your friends and family whip that coffee! You only need two tablespoons each of water, sugar and instant coffee! Here's a little tutorial to get you started.

We hope you try our little #Stayhomehacks and do share them with us over our Facebook and Instagram page if you do!

In the meantime, stay home, stay safe and stay healthy!
