Renowned for his clean and minimalist aesthetic, Danish watch designer Magnus Joergensen designed Serenity with uncompromising quality, style, and contemporary minimalism in mind. The collection represents the best of Danish design traditions with a twist of modern features and colours, inspired by the landscapes and scenery from the deep blue skies and the jewel-toned waters of a nordic holiday. The brand ethos of August Berg resonates positively with him and deeply influenced his designs. “It sends the timely and important message of making conscious choices with our time, for ourselves and the world around us", says Magnus Joergensen. Our founder calls it Timefulness. 

Dial

There are two sizes for the Serenity Collection, 32mm and 40mm which generously showcases the deep and rich colours of our timepieces - Deep Blue, Greenhill, Burgundy, Ash and Orchid, Sky Blue, Nordic Granite, Cuppa, and Noir. The minimal aesthetic of the dial is completed with 12 batons in either silver, gold, or rose gold that marks each hour. Accentuated by a crown, emblazoned with the sleek August Berg infinity logo symbolizing the perfect time loop. Its 1950s modern vintage aesthetic ignites the meaningful remembrance of the value of time and our relationship with it. The 40mm model also features small plain white batons to indicate each minute and an additional second hand. Some of the 40mm Serenity watches also come with a “classic eye”. It is what we call the sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position that features a dauphine design hand to mark the hour.

Encasing all of these details is an anti-reflective, single-domed sapphire crystal glass that delivers a striking and unparalleled view into the dial with its concave shape. It is durable and is perfect for bringing all the attention towards the dial and depth to the design.

Case

The curvature of the quartz watch provides a simple yet sleek appeal that seamlessly blends in well and sits comfortably on the wrist. Breaking the perfect symmetry of the case is a diamond-style crown that sticks out from the side. However, it does not obstruct the movement of your wrist nor does it look out of place. With a case depth of 7mm, it is relatively light and functional for everyday wear!

The back of the case does not have any special features but you can add a touch of personalization with our free engraving services that come in three unique fonts to choose from that best describe your personality.

Strap

The minimalistic theme continues to the straps. Change up your style within seconds with the added feature of “easy-release” pins that allow you to interchange between our selection of watch straps that are both comfortable and easily adjusted to the size of your wrist. Straps come in stainless steel Milanese mesh, genuine Italian leather, or the signature perlon that are meticulously crafted using high-quality nylon, intricately woven to increase functionality and style. Unlike typical Perlon straps, August Berg’s are lined with Nubuck (cowhide leather) for a comfortable and breathable feel. The Perlon straps also feature hidden strap holes which are invisible from the front of the belt to complete the seamless, minimalist look.

Movement

Each timepiece is powered by a Japanese quartz movement known for its precision, reliability, and longevity - and wrapped it in a surgical-grade double stainless steel case (316L) making each August Berg timepiece durable, corrosion-resistant, and able to withstand even high temperatures. They are also 3 - 5 ATM water-resistant.
