Right now, there seems to be a podcast for almost everything. Podcasts that educate you make you laugh, sad, and reflect.

If you haven’t already heard of Meditative Story, it’s a WaitWhat original series, created by June Cohen and Deron Triff. Former TED media executives, in collaboration with Thrive Global, a startup founded by Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post.

Hailed the “first-of-its-kind”, the podcasts bring together the emotional pull of immersive storytelling with the immediate, science-backed benefits of mindfulness practice.

Its first season will include 26 episodes. The season features different storytellers narrating their experiences using high-sensory storytelling techniques that are sure to tap into your emotions.

The stories are told with musical arrangements by The Holladay Brothers. The variation between music and vibration is designed to alter the state of mind and transport the listeners back to the exact time, place, and emotion.

Mindfulness guide and creator of meditation app Buddhify Rohan Gunatillake host the podcasts, providing mindfulness prompts as the story progresses. With each prompt, he reminds listeners to connect with the storyteller on what they’re feeling and seeing and to take a deep breath as they immerse themselves in their new surroundings.

Every week, you’ll get the chance to hear stories from amazing people such as NASA astronomer Michelle Thaller, transgender boxer and author Thomas Page McBee, New York Times bestselling author A.J. Jacobs, NPR’s Peter Sagal, and even from Arianna Huffington herself.

The podcasts are available on meditativestory.com, Spotify, Google Play, Apple Podcasts, and other platforms.
