We tend to find excuses to leave out the exercise in our daily routine and “too busy”, “no time for it” and “too far away from the gym” are some excuses that we often give. However, exercising can, in fact, be easily done at home and thus allowing you to squeeze in some time for health and fitness time into your busy everyday life.
Here are some simple exercises that you can do at home!
Yoga focuses on stretching and the alignment of your body. Many of the yoga poses are simple, with some poses that we do daily without realising ourselves. With the simple stretching poses, many might doubt the effectiveness of it, however, yoga is proven to be able to strengthen our muscle groups, improve flexibility and even relieve stress. You just need a small space at home to start! The best part is a simple Google search and you’ll be presented with a myriad of options to start with.
There are many simple workouts you can start doing at home, with different levels of difficulty and moves to train various parts of your body. You can start with the beginner workouts and slowly progress to a more intensive one. With a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, you can burn as many calories in less than half the time you spend running. So, this means that burning fat at home can easily be achieved, probably in lesser time as compared to gyming.
YouTube is your best friend, there are thousands of amazing workout tutorials that you can follow on the channel, depending on your type of workout.
Although this might be something that we used to do when we were younger, jump rope is, in fact, a great cardio exercise that burns more than 200 calories in 20 minutes. It is simple, easy, and requires only a jump rope. You can even increase the level of difficulty by doing variations such as jumping on one foot, jumping front-and-back, or jumping criss-cross.
Most people would know the importance and benefits of exercising, however, many of us are not doing it. Once we set our minds to it and incorporate exercise into our routine, we will soon realise the positive effect in our body.
